I understand design as the use of power to shape what’s possible. Co-design, is about designing with and extending design power beyond who pays you. It is using design power to imagine and build systems of care, not control.

Co-design is also practicing the future in the present: shaping strategies, practices and rituals that honor what’s strong and thriving, while tending to what’s dying or evolving so future generations inherit better systems than we did.

Offerings include:

  • Co-Design & Future Visioning Labs
Interactive, participatory work sessions for shaping strategic plans, service offerings, or implementation roadmaps. These labs invite communities and stakeholders into generative dialogue that builds alignment, power, and shared accountability for the futures they envision.

  • Design Marathons
A time-bound, equity-centered alternative to traditional design sprints - integrating principles and practices from a wide range of disciplines including: design justice, liberatory design, systems thinking, speculative fiction, embodied practices and strategic play. These marathons foster connection, and co-creation with communities most affected by the design process and outcomes.

  • Idea Forges
Playful, generative sessions for collective imagination and creative experimentation - reimagining resourcing models, testing new governance structures, or prototyping possibilities. A place to dream in the direction of liberation.

  • Organizational Thresholds & Transformation Rituals
Ceremonies designed for teams and organizations navigating change - vision setting, leadership transitions, project closures, strategic pivots, or moments when something must be released for new work to emerge. These rituals help groups reflect, honor what has brought them here, and step into a shared future with clarity, alignment, and intention.
